Author: springwoof

Pairing: McKay/Sheppard

Story Rating: NC-17 (Preview Rating: PG)

Word Count: 49,121

Story Warnings: Descriptions of medical experimentation, vivisection, & serious injuries (including eye injuries). Violence. Harsh language. Nudity. Explicit consensual sex. (Preview Warnings: language)

Author's Notes: Grateful thanks to my awesome betas: tesserae_, iamrighthere, jimandblair (Sealie), and taste_is_sweet (Leah). They were generous, patient, and very wise.

Story Notes: Takes place during SGA season 3, during the Team's search for spare Spacegates to recycle into the McKay-Carter Gatebridge. This story goes AU sometime after SGA: 307, Common Ground. SG-1 makes an appearance as well.

The Team finds a Spacegate, but they also find an abandoned Ancient space station orbiting a peaceful-looking planet. And, of course, the Wraith turn up.

Fleeing to the planet below, the Team is separated, and each is forced to survive in a snowy winter wilderness. Some of them run into new alien creatures. Some of them discover long-forgotten secrets that the Ancients never revealed. And others find people that the Ancients left behind.

The race is on—will Sheppard's Team find each other before the sinister Mountain People do? Can Major Lorne keep the Wraith distracted until the Daedalus arrives?

preview: Make the Devil Feel Surprise by telesilla

Title: Make the Devil Feel Surprise
Author: telesilla
Artists: almostnever & mashimero
Pairing: John/Rodney (primary), also Jeannie McKay/Ronon, Elizabeth/Radek
Rating: (story) NC-17, (preview) R
Word count: 47,500
Genre: AU set in a dark, mirror universe.
Warning: sex between a minor and an adult, BDSM, maybe/kinda dub-con, dark twisted characters...pretty much what you'd expect in a mirror universe.

Summary: When his parents die, sixteen year old Rodney McKay is brought to Atlantis by the Chief Science Officer, his older sister Jeannie. While Jeannie has no real use for him, Colonel Sheppard does. Now Rodney has to come to terms with the fact that not only is he Sheppard's boy toy, but also that Sheppard is a moody, paranoid sadist.

For his part, John isn't quite sure what to make of Rodney, who seems almost too perfect. Just as he and Rodney carefully start to settle into a complicated relationship, a conspiracy begins to surface, forcing Rodney to take a stand.

preview: Calling Down the Lightning by dreamwaffles

Title: Calling Down the Lightning
Author: dreamwaffles
Pairing: Rodney McKay/John Sheppard
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 55,498
Notes: This story takes place in an alternate universe where magic exists as an inborn talent.  It comes in two varieties, magician and wizard.  Magicians can only do small stuff, like levitating objects and setting things on fire.  Wizards are far more dangerous, and their magic never initially manifests as less than catastrophically powerful.  For this reason, on Earth you can be executed even on the suspicion of possessing magic, because there's no way to tell whether you are one or the other.

Rodney McKay is one of the few wizards of his time to have lived past the age of twenty.  Out of necessity, his powers are under perfect control, but in the Pegasus Galaxy, circumstances are desperate enough that he may be forced into using them…

This preview is about the origin of wizards, which are unique to Earth, though magicians are known wherever humans have settled in the universe.

Title: Second Verse
Prompt: Alternate Realities
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 58,725
Spoilers: references to canon through season 3

Warnings: A little darker than my usual fare, but as always, I go for the happy ending. Despite disfigurement, torture, and PTSD.

Director’s commentary: Picture an expedition with no McKay and the disastrous consequences that would occur.  Now toss in a McKay that’s been universe-hopping, the strain of which has left him not quite…right.

He thinks Sheppard is the same man who’s been leaping through realities with him…and until John can figure out what Rodney’s angle is, he has to play along.

bridges by busaikko

Title: Bridges
Author: busaikko
Pairing: Rodney McKay/John Sheppard
Secondary Pairings: former Rodney/Katie, Jeannie/Kaleb, Teyla/Kanaan
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 52,259
Warning: I'm warning for canon, the fic includes 'Common Ground' events in a real-world situation.
Summary: (non-Stargate AU) Dr Rodney McKay was in North Carolina for one reason: because his sister wanted him to rebuild his life after being sidelined by personal and professional disasters. He planned to design bridges connecting the people of Athos Island with mainland Pegasus Bay; he had no interest in building bridges of friendship. And he certainly never thought he'd find himself unraveling the mystery of local helicopter pilot John Sheppard, haunted by his own burned bridges....
Caution: There's a lot of canon here, but it is not chronological. First season in bed with fifth season, cats and dogs living together....
Notes: I owe a huge debt to my three fantastic betas, schemingreader, irinamarenco, and emeraldsword. Their insights and patience gave me invaluable support when I was sorely tempted to throw the story off the balcony. Thanks as well to T., who was my hand-holder and cheerleader. Also: my apologies to the Atlantic Ocean for casting it as the Wraith in the story.

Summary: Steampunk!Atlantis AU. When the Sheppard Circus Company ends up in Lantean territory, Dr. McKay, the leader of Atlantis, is none-too-pleased. So Elizabeth proposes an engagement wherein the troupe performs for the denizens of the hidden city in exchange for supplies and other necessities. And when Jennifer, John's adopted sister, and McKay make plans to marry, John has something to say about it. Of course, the only way to convince John that Rodney's on the up and up is for the men to get to know each other better. Except that as John and Rodney get to know each other better, the prospects of Jennifer and Rodney's wedded bliss begins to dissipate.

Title: No Good Deed
Author: forestgreen
Artist: crysothemis
Words: 65.620
Genre: Action/Adventure with a bit of romance thrown in.
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: John Sheppard/Cameron Mitchell
Summary: John opened the closed record that Stargate Command had on him and skipped over its content: "Dr John Sheppard, Civilian Consultant to the U.S. Air Force, member of SG-1, PhD in Applied Mathematics and PhD in Computer Science, gifted mathematician with a penchant for stealing, trustworthy." A small, satisfied smirk crooked John's lips. He struck the last part out and added a correction in red: "Gifted thief with a penchant for mathematics, not to trust." He saved the document and erased all traces of his presence in the system. It'd take a while for McKay to figure out that John had found yet another weakness in the SGC network. He ordered pizza and waited for the rest of the SG-1 to arrive. It was Mitchell's turn to pick the movie.
Notes: I want to thank my betas enviropony and sabinelagrande for the awesome job they did. You rock! I also want to thank ca_pierson for listening to my whining in chat and holding my hand when I needed it.
